Job Title: Animal Care Technician

Department: Animal Care

Classification: Part-time, non-exempt

Job Relationship: Reports to the Animal Care Manager, Animal Care Team Leader, and Administration. Works closely with volunteers and other staff members.

Position Summary: Responsible for daily cleaning and sanitation of the facility, including animal enclosures and public areas, feeding, care, and daily enrichment of the animals.

Beginning Hourly Wage: $12.25 / Raise based on performance and attendance after 90-day probationary period.

Weekly Hours: 28 to 35 hours

Shift Time Frame: 7:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., 1:00 p.m., or 2:00 p.m. (2-3 days off per week). Some evenings required: 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Purr-ks: One Week Personal Time Off after 90 days, Two Weeks after one year of employment, Optional Retirement Plan, Basic At-Cost Pet Healthcare and Medicine for personal pets, Sandpaper kisses and wagging tails (from animals).
