Humane Law Enforcement
The Fayette Regional Humane Society is the only organization in Fayette and Ross Counties responsible for enforcing animal cruelty laws in the state of Ohio. The Humane Society employs two trained and certified Humane Agents who are available 24/7 to respond to calls about abused, neglected, injured, or abandoned domestic animals. The Humane Agents will take steps to rectify any abuse or neglect, from issuing warnings to filing charges. Adoptions
The Humane Society adoption program finds homes for nearly 2,000 kittens, puppies, cats, and dogs each year. The FRHS has a live release rate of 99.6%, meaning that nearly every animal who enters the adoption program finds their forever home.
Low-Cost Spay or Neuter
This program provides low-cost spay or neutering for owner animals at a reduced cost. Surgeries are performed in our own surgery suite.

CARE Program
The FRHS provides basic healthcare for pets living in needy households free of charge. For qualifying households, this includes food, vaccinations, spay/neuter, and basic veterinary care. For more information, please call us at: 740.335.8126
PAL (Preventing Another Litter)
The FRHS will spay and neuter the parents of unwanted litters of puppies and kittens. The entire litter is released to us to be entered into our adoption program, where they will find their forever homes. The puppy program is free, the kitten program has a small cost.
Operation Cat Snip
Operation Cat Snip is a trap, neuter, return program which offers an alternative to euthanasia for community cats. These stray or feral cats are spayed or neutered and returned to their homes in the community.
