Abuse and Neglect

The Fayette Regional Humane Society is the only organization in Fayette and Ross Counties responsible for enforcing the humane laws of the state of Ohio. The Humane Society employs 4 trained and certified Humane Agents who are available 24/7 to respond to calls of abused, neglected, injured or abandoned domestic animals. The Humane Agents will take steps to rectify any abuse or neglect, from issuing warnings to filing charges. To report suspected abuse or neglect, please click here or call us at 740.335.8126.

Adoptions

The Humane Society adoption program finds homes for over 1,000 kittens, puppies, cats, and dogs each year. The FRHS has a live release rate or 97.5%, meaning that nearly every animal who enters the adoption program finds their forever home.
