David came to Fayette Humane the way many street cats do.
The long, hard way.
He’d been living outside, unneutered and fending for himself, with one rear leg dragging behind him from an old injury. A kind person had been watching over him and reached out to FRHS for help when it became clear that David needed more than just food. He needed a chance.
Thanks to your support, FRHS was able to give him that.
We took David in, gave him the medical care he’d gone far too long without, amputated his damaged leg, neutered him, and showed him the kind of kindness he’d probably never known before in his life.
His ear, now permanently crinkled from former fights, tells you everything you need to know about the life he survived. But his purr? That tells you about the life he’s living now.
Because of you, David didn’t just get rescued. He also got a home.
Today, he’s safe, healed, and dearly loved in a home where he can rest, relax, and finally retire from street life.
